About Us
About Us
Welcome to Newburgh Public School located in the quaint, community oriented village of Newburgh in Stone Mills Township. Our school, which is home to about 125 students who range in age from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, strives to ensure that our children develop into adaptable and resilient individuals who are capable problem solvers, ready to participate fully as responsible citizens in our community.
We are pleased to offer innovative and engaging English language instruction in all provincially designated subject areas and a Core French program that encourages functional communication skill development in the oral, reading and writing language domains.
We are proud of our Newburgh Nighthawk Sports Teams that represent the school in a comprehensive range of athletic activities at a local, regional and district level. In addition, we offer a diverse selection of intramural activities to engage our student population during the instructional day and after school.
Our supportive and caring staff is committed to ensuring that our children enjoy every opportunity that might be available in a larger school environment while taking full advantage of attending a smaller school where everyone knows their name! Newburgh is twinned with Centreville Public School with whom they share school administration.
