Dear Families, It is hard to believe we are already approaching the end of October. Excluding today and a handful of other days, we have enjoyed a beautiful and relatively warm fall.

Dear Families, Limestone is committed to supporting every student in achieving success. To do this, we need to better understand how students’ identities, experiences, and academic outcomes are connected.

Dear Families, The spooky season is upon us, and we welcome the fun and excitement of Halloween in our school! We encourage students to show their Halloween spirit by wearing Black and Orange this week.

Calvin Park PS ATLAS, Challenge, LEAP and CORE Programs December 9, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Loughborough PS Challenge Program December 10, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Ernestown Intermediate and SS Gr. 7-8 Challenge Program December 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

During the potential inclement weather months (roughly early November to early April), our transportation partner, Tri-Board Student Transportation Services (Tri-Board), works closely with their school bus companies to determine if it is safe to offer school transportation on inclement weather days.

Principal Update Dear Families, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope all of our Newburgh community is enjoying a wonderful holiday with family and friends. Last week we had a successful Fire Drill witnessed by the Newburgh Fire Department. Our school was evacuated and accounted for within 4 mins.

Dear Grades 7-12 Families, You are invited to attend the Limestone District School Board’s (LDSB) Pathways to Possibility: LDSB Entrepreneur Information Night on October 15, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fractal Workspace (632 Fortune Crescent) in-person or online!

The Limestone District School Board is committed to fostering accessibility and inclusion for all. We are currently developing our next Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and invite feedback from students, staff, families, and community members.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day are held annually on September 30. This day invites us to engage intentionally in learning about the Residential School System, and the true history of relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.

Principal Update Dear Families, As September ends and October begins, we will recognize two important events. This week is National Truth and Reconciliation Week and on Tuesday September 30th we will recognize Orange Shirt day.
